Ministry of Industry in Ukraine has reported that companies of Ukrainian metallurgical corporation, considering preliminary data, for the period since January to May 2008 have increased the production of steel and iron by 4%, finished steel - by 5%, coal - by 10%, but reduced the production of the steel pipes by 10%, Fiber from a steel wire (wire products) - by 13%. In the particular point of view, production of steel went up to 18,601.000 tons, cast iron - up to 15,467.000 tons, finished renting - up to 15,799.000 tons, coal - up to 9,294. 000 tons, the steel pipes - was reduced by 1,059.000 tons, Fiber from a steel wire (wire products) - by 167000 tons. Supply of the used scrap metal for the companies was reduced by 1% (by 2,909.000 tons). Ministry of Industry in Ukraine has also reported that during last 5 months was enlarged production of iron ore by 6% (33,694.000 tons), ores concoction - by 8% (26,823.000 tons) and other row material - by 1% (30, 55.000 tons).
